What is Alloy 309LMo MIG and TIG Filler Metal ?
Alloy 309 LMo MIG and TIG filler welding wire and rods are developed to be used in the hot and corrosive environment. They are chemically composed of about 23-25% chromium, 12-14% nickel, 0.5% molybdenum and low content of carbon (less than 0.03) in order to reduce the formation of carbide. The alloy has an outstanding tensile strength (>=515 Mpa), yield strength (>=205 Mpa), and elongation (>=40%), which are considered mechanically and therefore make it durable and crack-resistant. It offers excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance due to its low carbon and molybdenum-enhanced composition, thus best suited in joining stainless steels and dissimilar metals in challenging industrial, chemical and fabrication requirements.
