What is AWS Class ERTi-5 MIG & TIG?
AWS Class ERTi-5 MIG & TIG (Titanium Grade 5, Ti-6Al-4V) is a premium alloy composed of approximately 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. This composition provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature stability. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of around 895 MPa (130 ksi), yield strength of 828 MPa (120 ksi), and elongation of about 10–14%. These characteristics make ERTi-5 ideal for critical applications in aerospace, marine, and chemical processing industries requiring superior performance and durability.
